Family Photo Attempt(s)

I will forever be grateful for my older sister, Karla, and her husband, Adam, for welcoming me into their home. This has been the most unforgiving year yet in my life, but now that I’m living with them, things already seem a little bit brighter.

With how things have been going, I don’t know how long my stay will be, but it will be memorable nonetheless.

Dreams are weird, huh?

Odd tunes I dreamt about that I only remembered the words to. I wrote them down as soon as I had woken up:

“I took my mother to the day care

With all her stares and her grey hair

There she wept away the night

Little does she know that she’s a babe in disguise

Mother, your hair is gone

Mother, your teeth have fallen

There’s a reason why you feel small in my arms”

One more:

“You’re like the cat who lies on his back and eats nothing but sweets”

Untitled Sunday

The groundlings sip a teastone
Purple fingers run from half-mice
Inertia steps away
Cream flows from the eyes
of March. I’m apart from the teaming leaves.
Corduroy skies and stuffy bees
                                hide my lies from thee.
